But, have you ever wondered about the cloud model you should be using or which cloud computing platform will suit your specific business requirements. In order to utilize this power of advancement, your constant vigilance is required for getting the best desired results. There are mainly four models of cloud computing

·         Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
·         Platform as a Service (PaaS)
·         Software as a Service (SaaS)
·         Network as a Service (Naas)

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): It is the most basic cloud-service model, which facilitates user with virtual cloud infrastructure, for example servers and virtual data storage space. Virtualization plays a vital role in this mode and allows IaaS-cloud providers to supply resources on-demand after reaping them out  from their large pools built in data centers.

Platform as a Service (PaaS): In this model, cloud service providers render quality services for development environment. PaaS enables the user to develop and run in-house built applications that are best suited for his business needs. The services might include installation of an operating system, environment of programming language execution, databases and reliable web servers.

Software as a Service (SaaS): In this model, the cloud grants access to already developed applications to the user that are running in the cloud. The access attained by the cloud users do not enable them to manage the infrastructure where the application resides. With this, there would be no need to install and run the application on the cloud user’s own computers.

Network as a Service (Naas): The least common model, where the user is provided with network connectivity services, such as VPN and bandwidth on demand.
